About Me
I am a Graphic Designer with an A.A.S. in Advertising & Graphic Design. I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art, which has contributed greatly to my illustration skills. I love building my own vector images to fit the needs of a project. I also pride myself on my Photoshop abilities, whether it’s editing and manipulating my own photographic images or applying trending artistic effects to text. During my Graphic Design education, I was immersed into a vast array of professional-level work. One such project was creating the winning design for FTCC’s Student Learning Center’s 8-page newsletter. Other highlights include designing a children’s book, a cereal box, event posters, a point-of-purchase display, websites, numerous ad campaigns and professional logos.
While earning my degree in Graphic Design, I was fortunate to land an internship at the Greater Fayetteville Chamber. In my role as Marketing Coordinator, I was solely responsible for designing all marketing assets and printed signage for each event the Chamber hosted. This included brochures, postcards, posters, banners, flyers, and web graphics. Each event came with a different set of brand standards depending on theme, location, and sponsors. This role demanded that I manage multiple projects at a time, and taught me how to prioritize a heavy workload as a professional graphic designer. I can also say that because of this experience, I am confidently adept at ad layout.
Before pursuing a path in graphic design, I worked in marketing for a professional photography and press printing lab. As a copywriter, I created persuasive content for emails, landing pages, product descriptions, websites, catalogs, and brand guides. I advanced my marketing skills in the industry through trade shows and marketing conferences. Through gathering information and crafting compelling messages, I realized that the look and placement of words could greatly enhance their effectiveness. Thus, my passion for clean and expressive typography was born.
My calling is to combine compelling words with eye-catching imagery to send strong messages to an engaged audience. My creative spirit, positive attitude, and problem-solving skills contribute to my talent as a well-rounded graphic designer.
